For the United Kingdom

The amount for the workshop is your turnover and the amount for the commission constitutes an expense, just like rent, for example.

For artisans who have set up a company, this expense will reduce their net profit at the end of the year and therefore their corporation tax.

Here's an explanation of the payment you receive each month (payments for workshops held in month M are made between the 5th and 10th of the following month, N+1):

1️⃣ You have run a workshop for £100 (including VAT)

2️⃣ Wecandoo deducts a commission of £20 (including VAT)

3️⃣ You receive payment of £80

4️⃣ Your turnover is £100 if you are not registered for VAT or £83.33 if you are.

5️⃣ You pay a fee of £20 if you are not registered for VAT or £16.67 if you are.
