Invalid BAP Modal: A pop-up to fix the bundle that got incorrectly added to the cart.

Updated over a week ago

You may have made your bundle into a product (combo product or BAP) using the Fast Bundle app and you may have set it to add the included products to the cart upon clicking the Add to Cart button.

With such a bundle product, when the customer clicks on the Add to Cart button the included products should be added to the cart separately. When it is not, we call this an invalid BAP.

Invalid BAP example

Let's take the "Black Friday Set" bundle as an example.

This is how the bundle as a product (BAP) looks on its product page.

And it's supposed to get added to the cart when you click on the Add to Cart button as shown in the image below (separate items):

But sometimes, the bundle as a product itself gets added to the cart incorrectly as illustrated:

Reasons for the Invalid BAP

  1. You may have an Add To Cart button for this product on some pages other than its product detail page, like some collection pages.

If a customer uses an Add To Cart button on a collection page for a bundle as a product, it may get added to the cart incorrectly as a single product.

  2. In some themes, Fast Bundle can't change the functionality of the Add to Cart button on the product page of the bundle to add the included product to the cart.

The Modal:

If the BAP is mistakenly added to the cart as a single product, a "Modal Popup" can be shown to the user right away. The appearance of the modal will resemble the image below.

The products that are included in the BAP will be displayed in this modal. If there are variants available, the user can select them. To replace the bundle product with the included products, the user needs to click on the "Fix Your Cart" button.

Please contact us if you want us to activate "Modal Popup" for your shop.
