How Input Sections Work

Tabs, rows, rate types, GST entry and Cost Assist, shared across Land, Costs and Sales

Land, Costs and Sales share the same structure: tabs containing rows, with each row carrying a rate type and a GST treatment. Column headings and the add button differ by section, but the mechanics are identical.

Tabs

Each category holds as many tabs as needed, and every tab rolls up to the category total.

  • + New Tab adds a tab

  • Customise Tab Names renames it

Tabs group line items in whatever way suits the project. If a consultant has a schedule of fees, give them a tab and list each fee as a row.

Rows

+ New Item adds a line item.

Two menus control existing content:

  • Row options, beside an individual row: Delete Row

  • Category options, at the category level: Bulk Delete and Reorder

Rate Types

Each row has a Rate Type that determines how its amount is calculated, with Qty multiplying the rate.

Available options depend on the category. Cost categories offer:

  • $ Amount

  • %/ Construction Costs

  • %/ Construction Costs (Inc Cont.)

  • $/Lot

  • $/m²

Land and Sales offer $ Amount and $/m².

GST

Enter amounts in whatever GST configuration the source document uses. Feasly standardises everything to Ex GST for consistency across the feasibility.

Each category total displays both Inc GST and Ex GST.

Cost Assist

Cost Assist preloads typical cost lines for a development type, saving the work of building a cost structure from nothing.

Select a development type. The state is taken from the land details already entered.

Cost Assist adds lines alongside anything already entered. Existing items are left untouched, so check for duplicates after adding.

Every line is added at $0. Names only. Rates, quantities and GST treatment are set manually afterwards.
