The dos and don'ts

FOR AFFILIATES: The complete guide to representing Fernwayer well — what to do, and what's not allowed.

Being a Fernwayer affiliate is a partnership, and a few shared standards keep it working for everyone — you, your audience, and Fernwayer.

The dos

  • Write in your own voice. Original, human-authored content from your point of view — not primarily AI-generated. (More in Placing links and writing about Fernwayer.)

  • Keep it accurate. Describe Experiences truthfully, drawing on the real details from the Experience page.

  • Link directly to Experiences where you can — it's the strongest link and the best experience for your reader.

  • Disclose that you earn commission. A short, clear note near your links keeps you honest with your audience. (More in Telling your audience you're a Fernwayer Affiliate.)

  • Use approved brand assets from the Press Kit, as provided.

The don'ts

Each of these is serious enough to put our partnership at risk.

  • Don't copy Fernwayer's text. Everything you publish should be in your own words. Copied text weakens authenticity, and it hurts search rankings for both your site and Fernwayer's.

  • Don't bid on the Fernwayer name in paid search. You may not bid on "Fernwayer," common misspellings, or close variants as paid-search keywords, on any platform including Google Ads and Bing Ads. Those searches already lead to Fernwayer; bidding on the brand name competes against Fernwayer's own audience using Fernwayer's own name. This is grounds for immediate termination.

  • Don't create discount-code or coupon pages. Don't make any page, post, or profile promising Fernwayer discount codes, coupons, or offers. Fernwayer doesn't offer them, so these pages mislead your audience and misrepresent the brand.

  • Don't use bots or scraping tools. Don't use bots, scripts, or automated tools to pull content, pricing, imagery, or data from the Fernwayer platform. Fernwayer's content is made with care, and automated extraction isn't permitted.

  • Don't imply Fernwayer endorsed or authored your content. You're an independent partner recommending Fernwayer, not an official Fernwayer channel.

What happens if these lines are crossed

Brand bidding, coupon pages, and scraping can lead to immediate termination. Other breaches may bring a warning first, or suspension. In any case, termination means the loss of pending commission. The article The program terms, and what can end a partnership explains how this works.

The simple version

Represent Fernwayer the way you'd want a partner to represent you: honestly, in your own voice, and without cutting corners. Do that, and you'll never be near the lines that matter.
