With our flexible and easy to use tool, create and offer discount codes for your summer camps or other large groups to incentivize guests to purchase additional tickets.

Getting Started

Create discounts in 2 ways:

  1. The Codes Hub: This is your best option if you are going to make the discount available on multiple offers. To start this, select the "Codes" hub from the left side navigation.

  2. The Offer (Buyer Options tab): You should use this method when creating a new offer. To start with this method you will go to the "Buyer Options" tab and build the discount or add an existing discount.

Discount Types

To create your discount, choose which type you want to offer - Buy One, Get X, Free Tickets, or Custom Discount.

BOGO/Buy One, Get X (free tickets)

This will set the rule so that your customer must purchase 1 full price ticket to receive 1 or more free tickets. You can also limit the number of times a discount can be automatically applied on an order.

For example, if you set the How many times can this discount be applied per order amount to 3 on a Buy 1, Get 1 discount, the user will add the discount code to their cart and the system will apply the discount up to 3 times. If the customer has 6 tickets in their cart, the discount will be applied 3 times because they have to buy 3 tickets at full price to get 3 free tickets. If you would like to adjust the format of this offer, you can create a custom code as we describe below.

Free Tickets

This discount type allows customers to check out with 1 or more free tickets (specified by you). There are no fees on these tickets and we have many organizations that create this type of code when they use FEVO as a reservation platform.

Custom - There are two types of discount types: Order Level & Ticket Level.

Order Level will apply a dollar or percentage discount to the order total. For example, the customer is buying 5 tickets for $10 each, so the order total is $50. With an order discount of 50% they will pay $25 (plus any fees).

Ticket Level will allow you to set requirements on how many tickets must be purchased to receive the discount. As it says in the name, the discount is applied to the ticket instead of the order. If you decided that you wanted a Buy 2, Get 1 free ticket you would use this type of custom discount. You can also use this as a 50% off your ticket coupon. To set this up you would set the code like the image above. In this scenario, the customer would only be allowed 1 ticket at 50% off because the How many times can this discount be applied per order? is set to 1.

Once you've selected your type of discount, it's just a few more simple fields.

Valid From (Dates)

You can use these for early bird specials or other time-sensitive offers. Selecting a date range limits when a user can redeem the discount.

Can customers use this code on multiple offers?

  • If you select "yes," this setting will allow a customer to use their code for other offers (when activated for those offers).

  • If you select "no," this code will be a one-time use code. This means that after the user applies the code, they will not be allowed to use it again. If you activate the discount on multiple offers, it will still be used one time across all offers, not one time per offer.

Can customers use this code more than once?

  • If you select "yes", this will allow a customer to use this code for multiple orders on this offer as well as any other offers tied to this discount.

Discount Name
This shows on the checkout page once the discount is applied by the customer.

Discount Description

This is used to explain the discount to a potential customer through our FEVO Email Platform.

Organization

If you sell for multiple organizations, you will need to select which organization this code will be valid for. A code can only be made available on one organization at a time.

Adding Active Offers & Group Offer Landing Pages from the Hub
Here is where you select which offer the code will be used on. This is really important. Without an active offer added the code will not work for your customers. If you select "Groups this discount is valid for", all offers that are active for that Group will be valid for discount redemption. That also includes any offers added to the Offer Landing Page in the future.

Adding an Override to a Discount - An override is used to have the discount tickets report in your ticket system at a specific price instead of the value set at the offer level. Any user with a Sales Manager role can add an override to a discount. Just go to the Discount hub on the left side main menu, choose the discount and click the integration tab and add override for that specific discount.

Adding codes to your current Discount

  1. Head to the Codes Hub and search for your Discount

  2. If you uploaded your now closes, type and add or upload a .csv or Excel doc with additional codes

  3. Save
