Users are employees you give access to your Fieldwork account
β
Note: Your account security is our top priority. To provide an extra layer of protection against unauthorized access, we have now enabled two-factor authentication (2FA) for all users on your account.
Summary
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an identity and access management security method that requires two forms of identification to access your account. 2FA helps monitor and safeguard your information. You will have the option to update each user's 2FA method to create secure login methods that are tailored to each user's preference.
Key Points
2FA defaults to send a unique code to the user's email address
Optional per user setting to send a unique code to the user's mobile device via SMS
Optional per user setting to send a unique code to an Authenticator App
How it works
First step: You will still need to enter your username and password as usual.
Second step: After entering your password, you will be prompted to enter a second code to verify your identity.
Verification options: A code will be sent to you via email by default and can be set up to send a SMS message or use an Authenticator app.
Email: An email will be sent to your registered email address.
SMS: A text message will be sent to your registered mobile phone number.
Authenticator app: A time-based, one-time code from an authenticator app (like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) can be used to login
Default 2FA via Email for all online users
All users that you create in Settings > Users & Routes will have two-factor authentication via email on by default.
