How to mount the AM8 (AM8T without boom arm) on a boom arm with or without an adapter?
Unscrew the 3/8" to 5/8" adapter from the boom arm. It can work with the boom arm without the adapter. Because the mic is built with both 3/8" and 5/8" threads, and the boom arm also features a 3/8" silver connector. Additionally, the adapter can be used with any other mic that has a 5/8" connector if you have one.
Attach the mic to the 3/8" silver screw on the boom arm directly.
How can I tell if the included boom arm fits my desk?
The maximum thickness that the C-clamp can handle is 2.1". So, the width of the desk edge you used should be less than 2.1 inches (55 mm).
You can use a bank card to check it - 3.3 inches (85.5mm) in length and 2.1 inches (55mm) in width. In this case, the width of your desk edge had better be less than the width of the Bank Card. Also, ensure that both the top of the C-clamp and the underside are resting on flat surfaces.
How to set it up through the USB or XLR ports?
The package comes with a type-C (microphone end) to type-A (computer end) audio cable. For a USB connection, you just need to take one end of the cable to the microphone, and the other end to your PC, laptop, Mac, or PlayStation console, or even mobiles through a USB adapter.
XLR cable is not included, either of the audio interfaces. Thus, in order to hook up the mic through XLR, you need an audio cable, as well as the device to receive and convert the analog signal, such as a mixer, an audio interface, or a recorder with XLR input.
How to test the AM8T on Windows and Mac via USB?
Windows:
You have to go to the audio settings of the computer system to check if the "Fifine Microphone" driver is successfully installed, if the level is turned up to a proper point, and if the meter moves when you talk to the mic.

After connecting the mic with your PC, open the "Sound Settings".
Choose the "FIFINE Microphone“ as the input device.
Go to "Sound Control Panel", choose "Recording", and pick "FIFINE Microphone" as the default.
Mac
You have to go to the audio settings of the computer system to check if the "Fifine Microphone" driver is successfully installed, if the level is turned up to a proper point, and if the meter moves when you talk to the mic. Learn it after 0:54 in the video.
Right-click the Apple Logo icon at the top left of the screen and open "System Preferences".
Click “Sound”, choose “Fifine Microphone” as “Input” device.
How do I connect AM8T to my PS5?
Check the device compatibility of your mic: AM8T is compatible with PS5
Plug your AM8T into the PS5 with the USB cable.
Select “Fifine Microphone” as the input device.
You can adjust the mic gain on both the "Adjust Microphone Level" and the gain knob on the mic
Choose the output device you need to use.
Can't be recognized by the PS5?
Please upgrade the PS5 system to the latest version, then restart the PS5 to test again. If the disconnect issue continues, we recommend you test the mic with another USB cable(with data transmission function) or plug the mic into another USB port on the PS5.
