Notetaker

Learn how to leave notes on scenes and collaborate with your team directly inside the script.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The Note Taker feature allows you to add comments while reviewing a script. You can share feedback, discuss ideas, and see what other collaborators think — all within the Notes panel.

Open the Notes on the right side of the script editor to view comments related to the script. If there are no notes yet, the panel will show an empty state where you can start a discussion.

  1. Type your message in the comment field at the bottom of the panel.

  2. Click the send icon to post the note.

Your comment will appear instantly and be visible to other collaborators.

All notes appear in the same panel and include:

  • the author's name

  • the timestamp

  • the comment

This helps you follow the conversation and see feedback from others working on the script.

Edit a note

To edit a note you’ve posted:

  1. Click the three-dot menu next to the comment.

  2. Select Edit.

  3. Update the text and confirm the changes.

Delete a note

To remove a note:

  1. Click the three-dot menu next to the comment.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Confirm the action.

N.B.: Notes are scene-specific, meaning comments you leave will only appear when that particular scene is selected. If you move to another scene, the Notes panel will display comments related to that scene instead.
