Importing Purchase Costs - Step by Step Guide
Importing Purchase Costs - Step by Step Guide
Updated over a week ago

The most important step: adding (purchase) costs is the foundation for everything else. If this is not done, the system cannot be used! It's not difficult, but it does need to be done.

Read below on how to do this best.

Import costs per product in FiveX in bulk

Initially, it is necessary to add the costs via an Excel import; later, this can be automated.

Via this link, you will reach the page in FiveX where you can download and import the template with prefilled EAN's for the costs.

Below, you will find an example of how the costs should be entered (see the screenshot below).

The most important thing is to add purchase costs. Other costs such as shipping costs, pick & pack, return costs, and any additional costs can also be added. If you already have these, it is advisable to add them directly.

Make sure to select the correct timeframe in step 2. This is set to 1 day by default, but we advise setting it back at least three months so that all historical orders are adjusted.

Next, in step 3, you can add and import the document (see the screenshot below).

Do you already have an Excel file with the purchase costs broken down by EAN? Then add it directly to the system.

Note:

  • Make sure there are no (€) symbols in the field.

  • Ensure there are only periods (.) in the Excel and no commas (,).

  • Make sure there is a (') before the EAN; otherwise, EANs that start with 0 will not be imported correctly.

  • Optional: also fill in shipping costs. LvB and FBA costs are already retrieved automatically.

After importing the costs, they are displayed in real-time tab immediately. It can take up to 4 hours for them to appear on the other pages.
