Floorzap Payments: Refunds, Merchant Balance & Payout Timing

Learn how refunds are processed, where they come from, and how your merchant balance and payouts are affected.

How Refunds Work in Floorzap Payments

When you issue a refund through Floorzap Payments, the refund is deducted from your Floorzap merchant balance β€” not sent directly from your bank account. Here's what to expect:

  • The refund reaches the customer in 2–5 business days.

  • Your merchant balance is reduced immediately when the refund is processed.


What If My Merchant Balance Is $0?

If your merchant balance doesn't have enough funds to cover the refund, Floorzap handles it automatically:

  • The refund still processes immediately to the customer.

  • The refund amount is deducted from your next deposit(s) until the balance is recovered.

  • There is no "pending" state β€” you don't need to take any action.


How the Merchant Balance Auto-Sweep Works

Your merchant balance automatically sweeps (transfers) to your bank when it carries a positive balance. You don't need to manually initiate transfers.

  • Refund processed before a sweep: It reduces what hits your bank account in that deposit.

  • Refund processed after a sweep: It comes out of a future deposit.


Viewing Your Merchant Balance

You can view your current merchant balance and transaction history in the Floorzap Payments merchant portal. Contact support if you need help accessing it.
