You'll be caring for older people and people who are unwell, whose bodies may struggle to fight off infection. Flu can be serious for them. Having the vaccine each year helps protect them, and it protects you too.
It's usually easy to get. Many of the healthcare facilities you work at run their own flu clinics during the yearly roll-out. You can also get it at your local pharmacy, often at a reduced cost.
