How to Add Inventory Activity to a Work Order with the AI Assistant

Record parts used on a work order so inventory counts and work order costs stay in sync.

Steps

  1. Open the AI Assistant from the work order detail page.

  2. Tell the assistant which item you used and how many.

  3. The assistant expends the stock from inventory and links the cost to the work order.

What you can say

  • "I used 2 air filters from the main storeroom on this work order."

  • "Expend 1 belt β€” part number BLT-220 β€” against this WO."

Tips

  • Stock levels update immediately. If the item drops below its reorder point, it will show up in inventory alerts.

  • You can also request, purchase, or add stock through the assistant on a work order.
