1. Navigate to https://app.getflowpath.com/settings
2. Go to your Action Menu to Access Global Settings to find your current work order categories.
3. Click "Global Settings"
4. Click "Work Orders" tab at the top
5. Click "Categories" in the Jump to Section.
6. Work Order Categories are a powerful tool in FlowPath.
Through Work Order Categories you can filter work orders, enable custom questions for requesters, Pre-Populate Work Order descriptions, enable approvals, automatically assign users, watchers, and vendors, as well as setting spending thresholds for your staff.
You also have the ability to only give a select group of users the ability to use a specific category and its automations.

7. You can create new categories in this section as well as editing existing ones.
8. Click the "Name*" field.
9. By selecting a existing category or creating a new one you will see all of your options at the top. You can click on each one to further explore your available options.
10. You will notice many features will have instructions and descriptions to help guide your decision making about wether or not you want to use these features.
You can color code, set Category Priority as well as create custom questions that will appear when the category is selected both in the quick create internal work order form and external work order form, just to name a few tasks you can accomplish under the General Info tab.
11. You can set approval flows under the Approvals tab.
12. Under Assignments & Watchers you can assign users based on the category itself, as well as by locations, in addition to adding watchers groups.
13. Similar to to assigning users you can also automate which Vendors to assign. Be sure to toggle each feature to the on position to explore your options!
14. With Permissioned Access enabled you can determine who has access to this catergory.
15. You can set spending thresholds for categories.
