How to connect Mollie to your FRANK account to work with online payments

Learn how to connect Mollie to your FRANK account so you can work with payments and can sell gift vouchers

If you want to work with payments in FRANK such as prepaid reservations or gift vouchers or takeaway, you’ll need to connect a payment provider.

FRANK integrates with Mollie, one of Europe’s leading payment platforms, to handle all transactions securely and smoothly.

This allows your guests to pay online using modern payment methods like iDEAL, credit card, PayPal, and Apple Pay all directly within your booking flow.

Why Mollie?

FRANK is built to create a seamless guest experience. Mollie ensures that the payment side of that experience is just as smooth. Once connected:

  • Payments are fully integrated into your widget

  • Guests can pay quickly and securely

  • You keep full control over payment methods and settings


What does Mollie cost?

Mollie works on a pay-per-transaction basis.

  • No monthly fees

  • No contracts

  • You only pay for successful transactions

For example: an iDEAL payment costs a small fixed fee per transaction. For detailed pricing, visit the Mollie website.

1: If you don't have a Mollie account yet, create your Mollie account

  1. Go to the Mollie website and create an account

  2. Activate your preferred payment methods (e.g. iDEAL, credit card, PayPal)

  3. If asked for a description, you can use:
    “Online payments for restaurant reservations and vouchers”

⏱️ Mollie typically activates accounts within 1–2 working days.

Step 2: Connect Mollie to FRANK

Once your Mollie account is ready:

  1. Go to Manage → Setup → Payments in FRANK

  2. Click Connect via Mollie

  3. Log in to your Mollie account (if prompted)

  4. Confirm the connection

  5. Once connected, you can make sure that your restaurant is connected to the correct Mollie account, set the valuta, and select payment methods.

That’s it, your Mollie account is now linked to FRANK 🎉

Step 3: Start using payments

After connecting Mollie, you can immediately start generating revenue:

  • Add pricing to tickets (you can ask guests to pay fully upfront or a down payment of a certain amount).

  • Enable gift vouchers

You can also:

  • Choose which payment methods to offer

  • Decide whether you or the guest pays the transaction fees


Test your payment flow

Want to see how the experience looks for your guests? Enable test mode in:
Manage → Setup → Payments

This allows you to go through the full payment flow without real charges.

⚠️ Important. Make sure you do this before adding the widget to your website otherwise, guests could place free orders.

Don’t forget to:

  • Turn test mode off after testing

  • Place your widget back on the website again

Payouts & revenue

When a guest completes a payment:

  • The amount is added directly to your Mollie account

You can manage:

  • Payout frequency

  • Bank account details

…in your Mollie dashboard under Payout settings.


Good to know

  • Add or remove payment methods via your Mollie dashboard

  • New methods must first be approved by Mollie before appearing in FRANK

  • For accounting and exports, Mollie provides the most complete overview
