Why do I need a rental deposit?

The rental deposit insures the landlord in case any damages occur to the apartment.

No worries, rarely do people treat a place so poorly we need to deduct something from the deposit.

Transferring your deposit

Security deposits need to be transferred to the landlord before you get the keys to your place. Details on where to send the payment are located on your booking.

Please send proof of transferring the deposit to the landlord to support@friends-in-flats.at

If you run into any issues causing a delay in the transfer, don't stress. Reach out to us, so we can assist you.

Getting your deposit back

At the end of your stay and after completing the offboarding form, the landlord will check:

  • If all rental payments were received

  • If you used more/less utilities than you paid for

  • If any furniture was damaged during your stay

and deduct or add money to the security deposit.

The process can take up to 2-4 weeks. We will do our best to help you get your deposit as soon as possible.

110€ Cleaning fee is always deducted from the deposit.
