This guide will walk you through the steps to start driving your EarthRover on mobile.
Turn on Your Earth Rover
Ensure your EarthRover is powered on, the bot's SIM has enough data, and the location for your drive has a good 4G connection for optimal performance during your drive.
Open a Browser on Your Mobile
We suggest using Chrome as it has been tested for the best performance.
Log in to Your Account
Log in to https://rovers.frodobots.com/ using your mobile browser and your Discord login credentials (the same ones used when activating your bot).
Navigate to Your Dashboard
Once logged in, locate your bot’s name on your dashboard. Tap the Drive button under your bot's name.
Prepare for Your Drive
For an enhanced driving experience, enable fullscreen mode by tapping Toggle Fullscreen.
When you're ready, tap Proceed to Drive in the upper-right corner of the screen.
Tap Start Your Drive (upper-left or center of the screen) to begin recording.
Use the on-screen joystick on the left side of your screen to control your bot:
Touch the joystick knob to activate it.
Drag the knob in any direction to move your bot.
The bot moves in the same direction as the joystick.
The farther you drag, the faster your bot goes.
End Your Drive
If you started recording by clicking Start Your Drive, click Finish & End Drive (upper left corner) to submit your drive for scoring.
If you didn’t click Start Your Drive, open the Menu (upper left), then click Terminate Drive.
If you opted to record your drive, it will be automatically submitted for scoring and added to the Unscored Drive list.
Scores are typically processed within 48 hours.
