The EarthRovers website uses Discord login only. This means your FrodoBots account is tied directly to your Discord account. If you cannot log in, the issue is with your Discord email, password, verification, or authorization, and it must be fixed through Discord.
Below are the most common reasons users cannot log in and what you can do on the Discord side to resolve them.
How Login Works
To start driving, go to https://rovers.frodobots.com/ and click Log in. You will be asked to enter your Discord email and password.
If your Discord login fails, you will not be able to access your FrodoBots account.
Common Login Issues and How to Fix Them
1. Incorrect Email or Password
This is the most common issue.
How to fix:
Make sure you are entering the correct email connected to your Discord account.
Try typing your password manually (avoid browser autofill if itâs outdated).
2. "You need to verify your account to perform this actionâ
This means your Discord account is not fully verified.
Discord blocks logins and external app access until the account is verified.
How to fix it:
Open Discord (app or browser).
Go to User Settings.
Under My Account, check if you see a âVerify Emailâ or âVerify Phoneâ notice.
Complete the verification needed.
Email verification: check your inbox, spam, or request a resend
Phone verification: enter your phone number and confirm the code
Once verified, return to https://rovers.frodobots.com/ and try logging in again.
This issue cannot be fixed on our side. Discord must verify your account before you can proceed.
3. Did Not Receive the Verification Email
If Discord asks you to verify your account, but you do not receive the email:
How to fix:
Check your spam or promotions folders.
Add noreply@discord.com to your contacts.
Resend the verification email from Discord.
4. Discord Login Popup Not Appearing
If you click Log in and nothing happens, your browser is likely blocking Discordâs authorization window. This prevents the login popup from appearing.
How to fix:
Use Google Chrome
Allow pop ups in your browser settings
Disable any extension that blocks pop ups or ads
Try opening the page in incognito mode
If it still doesnât open, try a different laptop/desktop or a different internet connection
5. Logged Into the Wrong Discord Account
Sometimes the browser is logged into a different Discord profile.
How to fix:
Log out of Discord on your browser.
Log back in using the correct Discord account.
Try logging in again on https://rovers.frodobots.com/.
6. âOAuthâ or âAuthorizationâ Errors
These happen when Discord cannot authenticate the account.
How to fix:
Refresh the page and try again.
Make sure your Discord account is active and not disabled.
Try logging in from a different network or device.
