RoboCap Troubleshooting Guide

Having trouble with your RoboCap? Find the issue you're experiencing below and follow the troubleshooting steps.

RoboCap Does Not Turn Green When Pressing the Operation Button

If you've been using your RoboCap normally for several hours or days, and the indicator light suddenly stops turning green when you press the Operation Button, the storage may be full.

RoboCap has approximately 215 GB of storage available for recordings, which supports up to 20 hours of recorded data.

When the storage is full:

  • Recording will not start

  • The indicator light will not turn green

🔧 How to Fix It

  1. Connect the RoboCap to your computer using a USB-C cable.

  2. Copy any recordings you want to keep to your computer.

  3. Delete recorded files from the RoboCap to free up storage space.

  4. Try starting a new recording.

Once enough storage space has been freed, the indicator light should turn green and recording should start normally.

Recorded Files Cannot Be Opened or Appear Corrupted

If some recorded files (.mp4 or .db) cannot be opened or appear corrupted, the RoboCap may not have finished saving the recording properly.

This can happen if:

  • You start another recording or power off the RoboCap too soon after stopping a recording

  • The connected power bank runs out of battery while the recording is being saved

🔧 How to Prevent This

Before recording, make sure your power bank has enough battery for your session.

After stopping a recording:

  • Wait for the full Green → Red → Blue → Red indicator light sequence to complete

  • Once the light returns to red after blue, wait at least 5 seconds before starting another recording or powering off the RoboCap

  • Do not power off or disconnect the power bank while the indicator light is blue, as the recording is still being saved
