Retry Risk Limits: Overview

Why retry accounts run on different rules than your original account, and where to find the exact numbers.

📊 Overview

A retry account isn't an identical copy of the account that failed. It keeps the same account size, but runs on its own retry-specific risk limits and targets.

⚠️ One Credit Per Account

Your account carries exactly one retry credit, not one per stage. Once you're on a retry account, that's your account's last free attempt, whatever stage it's at. Full explanation and a worked example: One Retry Per Account: The Progression Rule.

📉 Floating Loss Rule

Funded Retry accounts also carry a 1% floating loss rule with its own two-stage consequence. See Floating Max Risk Rule: How It Works for the full breakdown.
