Our maximum allocation limit for Instant accounts is up to $400k in Instant Funded Accounts and up to $400k in Challenge Funded Accounts. This is the total account size we allow any single trader to hold active and tradeable at one time, regardless of how many individual accounts you purchase.
Example:
If you purchase 4 x $200,000 accounts, your total would be $800,000 which exceeds the $400,000 cap by $400,000 (i.e., 2 accounts' worth).
In this case:
- You may actively trade only up to your allocation limit — in this example, 2 x $200,000 accounts ($400,000 total).
- The remaining accounts (the other 2 x $200,000 in this example) must be kept completely untraded until your active allocation frees up (e.g., an account fails)
If my extra accounts need to stay untraded, won't they get flagged for inactivity?
How FundedSquad's 21-day inactivity rule applies to accounts kept untraded due to the allocation limit, and how one compliant trade per cycle keeps them active.
This is where the inactivity rule comes in, and it's important to understand how it applies here.
- We enforce a standard 21-day inactivity period if no trade is placed on an account within 21 days, it may be flagged/closed for inactivity.
- You'll receive a warning 5 days before the 21-day deadline, giving you time to act.
- For accounts you're required to keep untraded due to exceeding the allocation limit, you are permitted to place one single trade, following all normal trading rules, solely to reset the inactivity timer and keep the account active.
- Beyond that one trade, the account must remain otherwise untraded until it becomes part of your active allocation.
In short: Exceeding allocation doesn't mean losing your extra accounts to inactivity just place one compliant trade every 21-day cycle (before the 5-day warning expires) on the untraded account(s) to keep them alive, while actively trading only within your $400,000 limit.
