When you add a new organisation, you have the option to create an Excel organisation based on data uploaded via a spreadsheet. This is useful if you don't have accounting software that can integrate with Futrli.
Steps to create an Excel organisation
When you first log in to Futrli, go to the Organisations tab.
If you're already within an organisation, click the organisation name in the top right, then click Manage organisations.
From the Organisations tab, click Add new organisation.
Click Upload Excel.
Click Organisation Template.xls to download the template.
Enter monthly, quarterly, or annual Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet data from your accounting package into the downloaded template.
Make sure to follow the instructions in our article, complete an Excel organisation import template.
Once you complete the template, you can drop the file in the upload panel, or click to browse to the file.
The system will scan the file. Once the upload is complete, it will say Success next to the file. Click Finish.
📎 NOTE: Only the Workspace owner, Super Administrator, Administrator and Data Manager roles can add an organisation.
What happens if an upload isn’t successful?
If there’s an issue with an upload, an error message will display with the specific error:

Next steps
You can access this organisation and use it mostly like any other accounting software-connected or demo organisation. However, features around due invoices aren’t available in Excel organisations.
If you need to update the accounting data in this organisation after the upload, use the Update values option.
