📦 What This Article Covers
Once you’ve set up Package Delivery for your workspace, package receivers can easily manage incoming deliveries and ensure recipients are notified and accountable for pick-up.
This guide walks through the full process of handling a package—from arrival to user confirmation.
🛎️ Step 1: Log the Package on Mobile
Package Receivers can log a package directly from the mobile app.
Open the Gable app on your phone
Click Profile
Tap Package Delivery
Select New Delivery
From there, upload a photo of the package label. Gable will scan the image and automatically fill in key details, when possible. Then, review or manually enter the following:
Recipient (select from the dropdown)
Delivery Area (where the package will be stored or picked up)
Carrier Name
Notes (e.g., “Fragile” or “Delivered to back desk”)
📷 Tip: Uploading a clear label photo helps Gable auto-detect the recipient and carrier faster.
🔔 Step 2: Recipient Gets Notified
Once the package is submitted, the recipient will receive:
📧 An email notification
💬 A Slack message (if connected)
These messages include the delivery location, optional notes, and a button to confirm once picked up.
✅ Step 3: Mark as Picked Up
When the user picks up the package, they can confirm via:
The Slack message or email link, or
A package receiver can mark it manually in the app
📋 View & Manage All Deliveries
Package receivers can also view all logged packages:
Pending Pickup – still awaiting recipient pick up
Picked Up – already picked up by the user
They can take additional actions:
Edit package details (recipient, carrier, date, etc.)
Mark as picked up
Change status back to pending
Delete (if needed)
⚠️ Important Note
If a package receiver cancels a package or changes the recipient of the package the original recipient will get notified that the package has been cancelled.
