Gable's Company Office product supports QR code and NFC-enabled tags that can be physically placed on bookable desks and other resources throughout your office. These tags give employees a fast, on-site way to interact with a resource — whether they want to check availability or book it — without needing to navigate through an app or find the right desk in a list.

Each QR code or NFC tag is uniquely linked to a specific desk or bookable resource in your Gable workspace. When an employee is on-site, they can interact with the tag in one of two ways:

Either action will instantly bring up that resource in Gable's Company Office mobile app, where the employee can view its current availability and book it for the day — right then and there.

Employees can book a desk the moment they find one they like — no searching, no scrolling. Just scan or tap and they're done.

Because each tag is tied to a specific physical desk, employees know exactly what they're booking. There's no guesswork about location, setup, or which desk corresponds to which listing.

Not sure if a desk is free? A quick scan shows its current status without requiring a full app session or advance planning.

QR codes and NFC tags are purpose-built for the in-office experience. They support spontaneous, walk-up bookings — ideal for hybrid teams who don't always plan their office days far in advance.

Everything triggered through a QR scan or NFC tap is fully synced with your Gable workspace, so bookings are reflected in real time across the platform for admins and employees alike.

QR/NFC tags are posted directly on bookable desks throughout your office. Look for the tag on the desk surface, monitor, or a nearby stand. Your workplace admin is responsible for setting up and assigning these tags within the Gable platform.
