Where to find the inventory transaction log, what each entry records, and how to use it for audit and reconciliation.

What the Log Records

The inventory transaction log shows every change to on-hand inventory for an item at a school. Each entry records:

  • The date and time

  • The user or system that made the change

  • The transaction type (received order, submitted production record, check-in, check-out, true-up, transfer, or other manual adjustment)

  • The amount changed

  • The on-hand amount after the change

  • The linked order or production record, when applicable

Opening the Log

  1. Open the item page from the Pantry and open the Inventory section or open the inventory panel in the Production Records page.

  2. Click the transaction history icon

to see the full log for the item at the current school.

Filtering and Searching

The log can be filtered by date range and by transaction type. Use it for audit, reconciliation, or to investigate an on-hand amount that does not match what you expect.

Linked Records

For entries created by an order or production record, the log shows a direct link to the related record. Open the link to see the order or production record that triggered the change.
