In this article, you'll learn how to locate and manage products within a Purchase Order (PO) using the search function in Genie.

Search for a Product in a PO

To locate a product within a PO, open the PO and use the search bar:

  • Type the product name (e.g., 'Red / 7') into the search bar. If the product is part of the PO, it will appear in the results.

  • If a product exists in the system but is missing from the PO, you may need to add it manually if it's not linked.

To manually add a product to a PO:

  • Select the product and add it to the PO.

  • Search for it again to confirm it now appears in the PO.

Locate Products in the Inventory Table

You can also find a product by searching within the inventory table:

  • Type the product name into the search bar.

  • If you need to check if the product is part of an order, review the 'In Transit' section and check the expected arrival date.

  • To confirm arrival details, open the product profile, go to the 'Purchase Order' tab, and find the earliest scheduled order. Click on the order to locate the product and edit the unit cost or quantity if needed.
