Once CLARA is connected to Greenhouse, all of your screening insights — including CLARA scores, qualification status, and core competency data — are pushed back to candidate profiles as custom fields. That means you can filter your entire candidate pipeline directly in Greenhouse, without ever having to hop back and forth between platforms.
This guide walks you through how to use those custom fields to filter your candidates and keep your workflow in one place.
What you'll need before getting started
Before you begin, make sure you have:
CLARA connected to Greenhouse and actively syncing candidates
At least one job with candidates already processed by CLARA
Greenhouse Recruiter or Admin access

How to filter CLARA data in Greenhouse
In Greenhouse, navigate to the Candidates page using the top navigation menu.
Click Profile Details in the filter panel on the left-hand side of the screen. This expands the filtering options available for candidate profiles.
Scroll to the Custom Fields section. Here you'll see all CLARA insights that have been synced back to Greenhouse for your candidates. You can filter by any of these fields — we recommend starting with one of the following:
CLARA Status — filter by qualification tier: Pre_Qualified, Qualified, or Not_Qualified. This is the fastest way to surface your strongest candidates without leaving Greenhouse.
CLARA Core — filter by core competency scores to identify candidates with the highest match to your role's specific requirements.
Select the field you'd like to filter by and choose the value or range that best fits your current review stage.
⚠️ Note: You can combine multiple custom field filters at once to narrow your results further — for example, filtering by CLARA Status and a specific CLARA Core score to find candidates who are both qualified and a strong skills match.

💡 Start with CLARA Status — it's the quickest filter to apply and immediately separates your pipeline into clear tiers. Begin every review session by filtering to Pre_Qualified or Qualified before diving deeper.
💡 Use CLARA Core for competitive roles — when you have a high volume of qualified candidates, use the Core competency filter to identify those with the strongest skills alignment and prioritize your outreach accordingly.
💡 Combine filters for precision — layering CLARA Status with location or job requirement filters gives you a highly targeted shortlist without the need to open CLARA at all.
💡 Save your filter view — once you've set up your preferred CLARA filters in Greenhouse, save the view so you can return to it instantly for future roles.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I see CLARA custom fields in Greenhouse?
CLARA custom fields are only populated for candidates on jobs that have been processed through the CLARA–Greenhouse integration. If the fields aren't showing, make sure the integration is active and that candidates have been processed. If you're still not seeing them, reach out to our Partner Success team.
What CLARA fields are available as custom fields in Greenhouse?
