You can trigger messages to your clients within GIC in three ways:
Sent within the Client's profile
Messages to your client that are triggered from their profile will be logged in the message history of their client profile.
Sent within a transaction (an offer or listing)
Messages sent to a client within the context of a transaction will appear in the message history for that transaction only.
An invitation sent to your client to join GIC and setup their account
Messages to your client that are triggered from the system (i.e. an invitation) will be logged in the message history of both the user profile and a transaction.
Each time you send a message to a client, you will have the opportunity to add an optional message or apply a template you've created in the system. Documents or attachments may also be added.
In the next release of GIC, we will roll out email template features so that you can create and apply templates for various situations in order to streamline and simplify your client communication.
