Tier I
Tier I
Following instruction, students practice in GMM over new and previously taught concepts.
Teachers create a best-practice GMM assignment using standards-aligned skills.
Teachers provide instruction on new concepts and use GMM for guided practice. Teachers give the assignment to the class.
While students are working in GMM, teachers monitor student progress during class with Current Status and provide in-class support.
Teachers provide remediation for students directly from Spiral Review reports.
Teachers continue to view Spiral Review reports for the class and individual students for additional intervention if needed.
Tier II
Tier II
Tier II groups are grouped for small group instruction.
Students identified in need of targeted instruction by several data sources are grouped for Tier II.
Teachers create GMM class(es) for the small Tier II groups. Students use their same Tier I login in the additional class. Teachers adjust student settings for accommodations.
Teachers create assignments from lower level or supporting skills to address student needs. Using the assignments, teachers provide direct instruction.
Students work on assignments with targeted concepts while continuing to spiral through all topics in the Tier I and Tier II classes.
Teachers and administrators review usage and Spiral Review reports to determine which students have shown progress and which students may need intensive remediation.
Tier III
Tier III
Students identified in need of additional support are provided with individual instruction & practice with accommodations.
Students identified in need of intensive remediation are moved from Tier II classes to individual Tier III classes.
Teachers may choose to adjust individual student settings or continue with Tier II accommodations.
