About Job Types

Job Types help your organize and classify different types of work in Breezy. By defining Job Types, you can streamline scheduling, track conversions, and identify valuable opportunities. Proper setup of Job Types ensures accurate reporting and helps your team efficiently manage jobs based on their specific needs and characteristics.

Navigating to the Job Type Settings Page

Navigate to the company settings page by clicking on the gear icon in the side menu. From the submenu, select "Job Types" in the Configuration section.

Job Classes

At the top of the page you'll see tabs for each Job Class. The Job Types for the currently selected Job Class will be displayed in a list below.

Click on the "Service" tab.

Each Job Type displays the name, description, # of active jobs, the pipeline it belongs to, and the date it was last updated. You can edit or archive a Job Type at any time.

Create a New Job Type

You can create a new Job Type by clicking on the blue "Add New Job Type" button.

This will trigger the New Job Type drawer. The first half of the form contains the Job Type details, such as the name, description, job class, and pipeline.

Select which Pipeline you'd like this Job Type to appear in. Pipelines are how jobs are organized in the "Jobs" page.

The bottom half pertains to reporting on Technician Performance. The Conversation Threshold field dictates the amount that must be exceeded on a job invoice for the job to count as converted.

Flagging a job as an Opportunity in our system means identifying it as a conversion-focused job type that will be tracked and reported on for performance metrics. Most job types are flagged as opportunities to monitor potential revenue-generating interactions. However, job types like ‘Callback’ or ‘Warranty’ may not be flagged as they typically don’t involve a conversion focus..

If a Job Type is marked as an Opportunity, you can further designate it as a potential Hot Lead. Hot Leads are a subset of opportunities that are identified based on the age of the equipment, indicating that the job may represent a high-value opportunity for your business.

Click on "Create Job Type" once finished.

And that's it! You've now successfully created a Job Type.

Job Types in the Create Job Form

Let's take a quick look at the Create Job form to understand how Job Types are used.

The newly created Job Type will now be available in the "Job Type" field and if the Job Type was marked as an Opportunity and Hot Lead, then these toggle switches will be on by default.

Archiving a Job Type

If a Job Type is no longer necessary, or was created by mistake, you may want to archive it.

To do so, navigate to the Job Types page in Settings and navigate to the appropriate Job Class tab.

Once there, scroll down to the Job Type that you'd like to archive and click on the "Archive" button next to "Edit".

In the confirmation drawer, click on the red "Archive Job Type Button".

To view Archived Job types, you can click on the "Show Archived" toggle switch that's below the Job Class tabs.

Toggling it on will display archived Job Types at the bottom of the list.

And that's it! You've now successfully configured Job Types!
