Setting up Job Pipelines

About Job Pipelines

Job Pipelines in Breezy help you organize and track the progress of jobs within your company. Each pipeline represents a workflow for different job types, such as Maintenance, Service, Install, and Sales.

Pipelines streamline job management by defining statuses that jobs move through, making it easier to monitor job progress and ensure efficient task completion.


Navigating to the Job Pipelines Settings Page

To access the Job Pipeline settings page, navigate to the company settings page by clicking on the gear icon in the side menu. From the submenu, select "Job Pipelines" in the Configuration section.


Job Pipelines Overview

The Job Pipelines page shows a list of all active Pipelines in the system. By default, Breezy includes a Pipeline for each defined Job Class: Maintenance, Service, Install, and Sales.

Each Pipeline displays the name, description, # of jobs, the last updated date, and actions for editing and deleting.


Creating a Pipeline

To create a new Pipeline, click on the blue "Add New Pipeline" button in the top right.

You'll be asked if you want to create a Job Pipeline or a Sales Pipeline. A Job Pipeline is for managing service, maintenance, and install teams and processes, while a Sales Pipeline is for sales teams and processes.

The biggest difference between the two types of Pipelines is the default Statuses that get created.

Let's create a Job Pipeline called "Commercial". We'll give it a name and a description.

In the "Statuses" section, we can see the default Statuses and their order. Statuses are the state or stage that a job can be in.

On the Jobs page in the "Board" view, Statuses are represented by a vertical column.

To Add a Status, click on the blue "Add Status" button.

In the top third of the New Status drawer, you'll be asked to enter a name and description, and set a color.

Then you'll see a set of toggle switches for setting the status as the default status for when the job is created and to set it as the "work complete" status when the work for the job has been marked as completed.

The Automation section will allow you to transition the job status automatically based on certain events or criteria.

  • When the first visit is booked for the job

  • All outstanding visit for a job have been assigned to a technician

  • When the technician is dispatched

  • When the technician arrives at the job site

  • When all visits have been completed

  • When all visits have been completed and no onsite follow-up work is required

Once ready, click on "Save" to save the Status.

If necessary, you can "Edit" any status to update its name, color, or Automation settings, or "Delete" any statuses you find to be unnecessary.


Deleting a Pipeline

To delete a pipeline, navigate to the Job Pipeline settings page and find the Pipeline you'd like to delete.

Click on the red "Delete" button that is a trash can icon.

To proceed, you'll have to select which Pipeline you want any existing jobs to be migrated to.

Any matching statuses will be automatically mapped. You'll have to manually map any that don't have a match.

Once ready, click on the "Delete Pipeline" button.

And that's it! You've now learned how to set up and manage Job Pipelines.
