Creating an account on Change
Welcome to Change! Firstly, create an account to claim your nonprofit.
Next, you will need to confirm your email.
Go to your email inbox and click Verify now.
You will be then directed back to the Change signup flow. Enter your nonprofit's EIN and click Continue.
Select your nonprofit and click Yes, continue to claim. If the nonprofit is incorrect, click That's not my nonprofit and re-enter your EIN.
You're in! The next step is to add your bank account for automatic payouts. Connecting your bank account will also provide additional donation and donor information.
In some instances, further verification may be required to approve your account. An example of this is if the email you've signed up with does not match with your website domain. You will see Verify your identity as a next step.
We will need to confirm your affiliation with the organization that you are claiming funds for. Verification would require the following:
domain matching
email verification sent to a main contact from your organization
uploading a photo ID
providing additional supporting documents (ie - bank statement, voided check, proof of employment, letter of determination)
Depending on the revenue size of your organization, you will be prompted to verify your identity via Stripe.
After completing these additional steps to verify your identity, the Change team will review your user account and reach out if more information is needed. Otherwise, it will typically take 1-2 business days to review your user account.
