Custom Campaigns

Here are the steps for creating a custom Professional Fundraiser campaign

Updated this week
  • In the Dashboard, navigate and click on the Campaigns tab.

Note: "Campaigns" tab will not be visible on dashboard until after FSA is signed.

  • Click on + New campaign to create a campaign.

  • You will then be prompted to enter details about your campaign including:

    • Campaign name

    • Start/End dates

    • Description

    • Campaign type

  • To create a custom campaign, select Custom

  • When you select Custom, you will need to answer the following:

  • If you answer Yes to distribute funds to nonprofit immediately and Yes to return expenses immediately, this means funds will be reconciled as soon as OCF receives them. You will have to add the percentage of funds returning to the professional fundraiser, and the rest will be distributed to the nonprofit.

  • If you answer No to distribute funds to nonprofit immediately, and No to return expenses immediately, this means funds will need to be reconciled after the campaign ends, in which you will then have to click on "Complete campaign" on the main campaign dashboard.

  • You also have the option to set a final grant release date, which will automatically distribute funds on the selected date.

    • Please note that if you plan to have returned expenses in this scenario, you will need to manually upload the expenses before the final grant release date. Otherwise 100% of the funds will be given to the nonprofit.

  • Alternatively, if you already know the returned expenses upfront, you can add the percentage of funds to return when you select No to distribute funds to nonprofit immediately, and Yes to return expenses immediately. When the funds get released on the final grant release date, the percentage of returned funds will be applied.

  • Next, you need to select a nonprofit partner that you'll be raising funds for. You can search the nonprofit by name or EIN.

  • If the nonprofit is a new partner and still needs to be invited, you will see them labeled as "Needs to be invited" when you search by name or EIN.

    • To send an invite, click on Invite now. This is will prompt them to claim their profile on Change and connect a bank account for ACH payouts (if they haven't already).

  • Lastly, finalize the campaign by clicking on Create campaign.
