Glocal makes it easy for hosts to track all their social impact from community events. This article explains how to create your events in Glocal so people can find them, check in and share feedback. Before you dive into event creation, ensure you have a Host profile set up. For guidance on this, refer to our article on creating a Host profile.
Step-by-Step Guide to Adding Your Event
1. Navigate to Event Creation: Select Create an event under Track in the Glocal app navigation bar. The information you provide here will be publicly visible, helping potential attendees discover your event.
2. Event Basics: Start with the event name—keep it concise for clarity and impact. Then, craft a description that encapsulates what attendees can expect, including activities, logistics, and information about your organization and its mission.
3. Event Type and Timing: Choose from volunteering, civic, or wellness event types. Specify the date, start and end times. Glocal needs this to calculate the amount of Ayni (our digital currency) to reward your attendees.
4. Location Matters: It's vital to select an accurate address from the dropdown for geolocation check-ins. Accuracy ensures attendees can find your event and check in without issues.
5. Select an Image: Choose an image that visually represents your event, adhering to the optimal size ratio of 1:2 (max 3800 x 2500 pixels).
6. Custom Data Collection: You can customize the feedback questions to gather valuable data from attendees. The first questions will utilize a 5-star rating system, with a sixth open-text question for qualitative feedback. Questions 7 and 8 are fixed to help you track general event ratings and attendee travel distances across all your events. All event-related data is accessible via the My Events dashboard, offering insights into event performance. See Navigating your Glocal Events Dashboard for more information.
7. Campaigns: Additionally, you can enhance your event with campaigns featuring ads or splash screens during the event flow by creating a campaign and linking it with a campaign code.
Final Step
