Can I change the ownership of a recipe book?

Follow these steps to add or remove Concepts and Locations from your Recipe Books

Updated over 10 months ago

If you want to add or remove Concepts or Locations from a Recipe Book's ownership, you will need to create a new Recipe Book and move the contents of the old Recipe Book into the new one.

Follow these steps and see the walkthrough below:

  1. Create a new Recipe Book from the +New menu and assign it to the Concepts and Locations you want to have access

  2. Bulk select the recipes from the old Recipe Book and add them to the new recipe book

    1. IMPORTANT: Be sure you are deleting just the Recipe Book, not the recipes. Click here to learn more about deleting content in meez.

Recipe Book Ownership Settings

  • When you create a Recipe Book, it will only be visible to Team Members who are assigned to at least one of the same Concepts or Locations as the Recipe Book.

  • Each Team Member will only see the recipes from the Concepts or Locations they are assigned to. Any other recipes in the Recipe Book that belong to other Concepts or Locations will not be visible to that Team Member.

  • Once you've created a Recipe Book and assigned it a Concept and Location, you cannot change this setting. If you want to change the "ownership" of a Recipe Book, you will need to create a new one and add the contents of the original book to it.
