INVENTORY READINESS CHECK:

  1. Create your recipes.

  2. Add costs to your ingredients.

  3. Create and add "Tags" to each of your ingredients.

What are Tags, and how do I add them to my ingredients?

  • Tags need to be added to each of your ingredients you intend to count during your inventory.

  • They are used to better organize ingredients.

    • Often these tags are designated by location ex. Dry Storage, Cold Storage, Freezer, etc.

The easiest way to add tags is by the Storage Location Assignment Worksheet.

  • Once submitted, we will compile and send you a .CSV spreadsheet of all your ingredients.

  • Next you'll need to label each ingredient with a location tag on the spreadsheet.

    • These are typically where you store your ingredients as mentioned above

      • Dry Storage, Walk in, Freezer, etc.

    • Or they are how you organize your ingredients to be counted.

      • Meats, Spices, Produce, etc.

  • Once you have have added a tag to each ingredient you intend to count on your inventory, email the storage location assignment worksheet .CSV back to us!

  • We will use your provided information to tag the ingredients and generate your sheet to shelf areas containing your total items you tagged for each location to be counted.

Once this is set, you'll be ready to start counting!

Manually add tags to your ingredients.

  • Tags are used to organize ingredients.

    • Often these tags are designated by location ex. Dry Storage, Cold Storage, Freezer, etc.

  • You can add tags by clicking on an ingredient.

  • Once on the ingredient page click the Edit button.

  • On the bottom left you'll see the Additional Details section.

    • Just under that you will find Tags

  • Click in the Tag Name section and type in the name of your tag.

    • If this is the first time you are entering a Tag, type in the name of the tag and click the "create a new tag called" option in the dropdown.

  • If you have created tags before, you will see them appear in the drop down menu to choose from.

  • Your ingredient now has a tag!
