Playtomic now allows you to create your match, not only in Playtomic clubs, but also in any private court or sports facility in the World
Steps to create your Community Match
To create a match in a court that is not in Playtomic app:
1. Go to the "Matches" tab in the app:
2. Click on the "Start a match" button:
This process is similar to opening a public match, but you will see a second option called "In other clubs or sport venues":
3. Click on "Next" and complete the basic information of your match:
4. You will need to fill in the following information:
Sport: padel or tennis
Location: here you can choose in one click among the locations you have created in the past or search for a new location
Date and time:
Number of players: single or double
Type of match and level: you can choose if it will be a friendly or competitive match
Mark court as booked: if you activate this option, you will be able to add a price (per person).
Mark the match as private: if you activate this button, only the players you share the match link with, will be able to join:
5. Finally click on "Create match" to save all the changes:
Keep in mind that the courts are not automatically booked through the app and that this match is entirely organized by you, and it is your responsibility as the organizer, to book the court.
If you don't have other players to join you yet, you can click on Share now. You can share the link of your match on your social media to find players (you can do this later on as well).
When a player signs up or is removed from your match, you will receive a notification in the app.
How to cancel a community match you have organized:
Go to the "Matches" tab and then click on "My matches". Select the match you want to cancel and click on the 3 dots at the top right:
Click on "Cancel" and then on "Cancel match" to confirm this action
As an organizer, you can cancel the match you have created at any time ✌️
How to delete a player in your community match:
Players who registered to your match will be able to remove themselves whenever they want from the "Leave match" option in the app. Also you, as the organizer, will be able to delete a player if required:
Go to the match in the app and click on "Edit" players
Click on the player and then click on the red cross to delete them:
How to add your community match to the calendar
It's very easy, click on the "Calendar" option from the main menu of the match:
📝 Remember that if you have several calendars set up on your phone, this event will be only added to your default calendar.
Use the chat to communicate with the players:
Once the community match is created, you can communicate with all registered players using the chat option:
☑️ They will receive a push notification in the app advising that they have a pending message to read.
How to know if it is a public playtomic match or a match created by a private organizer (community match):
You will see the yellow Playtomic icon if it is a public match and without the yellow icon if the match has been organized by a player (community match):
