When you try to connect your LinkedIn account in GetReplies, you may see an error like "Resource Not Found", "Error in Connecting LinkedIn", or the connection popup may stay open without closing even after showing a success message. Here is what causes each and how to resolve them.
"Resource Not Found" error
This is typically an internal error on the GetReplies side while initialising the LinkedIn connection for your account. It is not a problem with your LinkedIn credentials.
Steps to try:
Close the connection popup.
Refresh the Accounts page (hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R).
Try connecting your LinkedIn account again from scratch.
If the error persists after 2–3 attempts, contact GetReplies support with a screenshot — the team can resolve it from the backend within a few minutes.
Connection shows "Successful" but the popup doesn't close
This is a known UI behaviour. The success message means your LinkedIn account was actually connected — the popup simply does not auto-dismiss in all cases.
What to do:
Manually close the popup by clicking the X or clicking outside it.
You should now see your LinkedIn account listed in the Accounts table.
Click on the account row to open its settings and set up your signature and daily sending limits.
General "Error in Connecting LinkedIn"
If you see a generic connection error:
Confirm you are entering the correct LinkedIn credentials (the email and password you use to log into LinkedIn directly).
If LinkedIn has sent you a verification code or challenge during the connection attempt, complete the verification on LinkedIn first, then retry in GetReplies.
Make sure your LinkedIn account is not currently restricted or flagged by LinkedIn for unusual activity.
Do not use LinkedIn SSO or social login
GetReplies connects to LinkedIn via credentials (email + password). If your LinkedIn account was set up using Google or Apple sign-in, you will need to set a LinkedIn-specific password before connecting. Do this at linkedin.com → Settings → Sign in & Security → Change password.
