What are the campaign types in Spear?

An overview of the three campaign types in Spear: New Prospects, Existing Network, and Prospects List Only.

Written by Amir Maoz

When creating a campaign, you'll choose between three types. Each one is designed for a different outreach scenario.

Type 1: New Prospects

Targets people you're not yet connected with on The Outreach Platform. Spear suggests prospects based on your ICP and sends personalized, trigger-based messages.

Type 2: Existing Network

Targets people you're already connected with. Use this for:

  • Prospects from before Spear that match your ICP

  • Re-engagement campaigns with past prospects

Type 3: Prospects List Only

Targets a specific list you upload manually, with no ICP filters and no auto-generated prospects. Use this when:

  • You have a defined list of people to reach (e.g., event attendees or imported leads)

  • You don't want Spear to generate additional prospects automatically

Tip: During a list upload, you can select the option to automatically create a List Only campaign and attach the list to it in one step.
