ICP filters are the parameters defined within each campaign. They determine which companies and prospects Spear will suggest based on your target profile.
Spear uses these filters to:
Identify relevant companies
Match the right prospects within those companies
Prioritize prospects based on strong triggers

Are ICP filters required?
Not always. For some campaign types, ICP filters are optional. You find them in Campaign settings → ICP filters.
Job title is no longer mandatory. You can save the ICP without adding a title.
The whole ICP can be empty. If you leave every filter blank, you can go straight to Next and Save without clicking Apply. The ICP then does not narrow the audience, and any filter you do add still narrows it.
This applies to:
Conference event campaigns with a prospect source other than General (Speakers, Sponsors & exhibitors or Attendees).
Website visitors campaigns.
These campaigns already get their people from another source, such as the event roster or your site's visitors, so the ICP only narrows that source.
Where ICP filters are still required
All other campaigns, including event campaigns with the General audience, still need at least one job title.
If you edit a Sponsors & exhibitors campaign, you can't clear its ICP, because it holds the sponsor companies of the event. Speakers, Attendees and website visitors campaigns can be cleared.
A campaign with an empty ICP can't be moved out of these types. Detaching it from its event, switching its audience to General, or duplicating it after the event was deleted is refused until the ICP has at least one filter.
On a website visitors campaign with an empty ICP, the prospect preview shows the "no filters" state instead of a list of people.
