Connecting a LinkedIn profile to Spear is fully async — meaning you don't need to stay on the screen while it processes.
Note: Both Admin and User-type members can connect and disconnect profiles. The Profiles tab in Org Settings is visible to all team members.
To access Org Settings: Click the gear icon at the bottom-left of the sidebar (not your profile picture or name at the top).
Where: Org Settings → Profiles
Go to Org Settings → Profiles
Click Connect LinkedIn Profile and enter your credentials — the process runs in the background
Once your code is ready, a "Your LinkedIn code is ready" sticky banner will appear at the top
Click the banner and enter the verification code from your phone/email
How long does it take?
Normally: 2–5 minutes
If it takes more than 10 minutes, the CS team will reach out automatically
Note: Do not disconnect and reconnect within 30 seconds — this can cause the profile to get stuck
If your profile appears stuck:
Check the status in Org Settings → Profiles
If it shows

Verification code — email vs. authenticator app
LinkedIn may ask for a verification code in two different ways, depending on your account's security settings:
Email code — LinkedIn sends a code to your email. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.
Authenticator app code — LinkedIn asks you to enter a code from your authenticator app (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy). Enter that code in the same verification field.
Both flows work the same way in Spear — just use whichever code LinkedIn asks for.
Disconnect vs. Delete — what's the difference?
These two actions are not the same. Make sure you're choosing the right one:
Disconnect — stops automation but keeps the profile visible in the platform. Data is preserved.
Delete — stops automation + makes the profile invisible + removes it from being an operating user. This cannot be undone easily.
Note: If you only want to pause automation, use Disconnect. Only use Delete if you want to fully remove the profile from the platform.
To disconnect a profile
Go to Org Settings → Profiles → find the profile → click the three-dot menu (⋯) → Disconnect.
To delete a profile
Go to Org Settings → Profiles → find the profile → click the three-dot menu (⋯) → Delete.
Before deleting, make sure the profile is not set as an operating user for any other profile — otherwise you'll need to unassign it first.
To manage a profile
Click on any profile in Org Settings → Profiles to view its status, connected campaigns, and settings. You can also edit credentials or update details from the three-dot menu.
