Here's how resuming a sequence works and what to expect when you do it.
Q: Can I resume the sequence with the standard message?
A: Yes. Select the corresponding step in the message panel to load the standard content defined for that stage of your campaign.
Q: Why are some steps (like Step 1 or Step 2) not selectable?
A: The system automatically tracks which messages have already been delivered to the prospect.
If a step is grayed out or unselectable, it means that specific message (e.g., Connection Request or Follow-up 1) has already been sent.
This is a safety feature to prevent sending duplicate content. To resume, simply select the next available step in your timeline (e.g., Follow-up 2) to continue the flow.
Q: What happens if I skip a step?
A: You can skip to any available step — the system will send that message and continue the sequence from there.
Q: The platform suggested resuming the sequence — but I don't see any reply suggestions. Is that normal?
A: Yes, this is expected. When Spear recommends resuming the sequence on a prospect's message, AI reply suggestions will not be displayed. This is intentional — the next automated step in the sequence takes priority over suggested replies.
If you want to send a manual reply instead, you can still write your own message or use AI Reply from the conversation window.
