How to Upload an Events Document to Build Smarter Event Campaigns

Written by Camila

If you know which industry events you'll be attending, sponsoring, or targeting this year, upload a document listing them to Spear's Documents Library. The AI chat agent can then use it as context to help you build event campaigns without re-explaining the details every time.

Why upload an events document?

Event campaigns work best when the outreach references a real, specific event (dates, location, why it's relevant to the prospect). Instead of typing that context into chat every time you want to build a new event campaign, upload it once and reference it whenever you need it.

What to include in the document

Keep it simple — a table or list works well. For each event, include:

  • Event name

  • Dates

  • Location (or "virtual")

  • Whether you're attending, speaking, or sponsoring

  • Who it's relevant to (industry, role, or ICP segment)

The more specific the document, the more relevant the AI's suggested messaging will be.

How to upload it

  1. Click your agent in the left menu.

  2. Open the Documents Library.

  3. Upload your events document.

How to use it

Once uploaded, drop the document into a chat with the agent and ask it to build an event campaign — for example: "Build an event campaign for [event name] using the events doc I uploaded." The agent will use the event details as context instead of asking you to re-type them.

For the campaign setup itself (sequence, filters, sending the connection requests), see How to set up an Event Campaign.
