Four steps, and you end with work you can use rather than a tour you have to remember.
First, the setup, and whether you can skip it
Setup runs once, the first time you sign in, as a chat with Vamos. The rest of the app opens as soon as your brand is set up. It takes a few minutes, and it does most of steps 1 and 2 below for you.
Paste your Instagram, TikTok or YouTube profile links or @handles, your website, or both. A website on its own works. If your Instagram has a Facebook page linked, tap Read its ads and Vamos reads the ads that page runs.
If you do not post anywhere yet, or your account is private and cannot be read, choose Describe it instead. Say what you do and who it is for. You can also add where you will post first, your website and up to ten competitors to track.
While it works, Vamos shows you each step: reading your posts, watching your best and weakest videos, finding your outliers, reading your website and comments, writing your Profile, finding your competitors and making your Brain files. It fills in Brain, follows the competitors it is sure of, and names your workspace after your brand.
Then your first chat opens with a Brain ready card and one question: What should we work on first? Tap one of the four jobs and answer anything else it asks. That question costs no credits. The job itself is charged like any answer.
If you leave before your first chat opens, Vamos starts on a first job for you, and the answer is waiting in that chat when you come back.
Running several brands does not change this. Each brand is its own workspace with its own setup, so set the first one up now and add the others when you want them.
1. Add your own handle
Brain, then Profile, then Add under Socials. Type your @handle or paste your profile link.
This is not a login. Vamos reads what is public on that profile, which gives it your baseline: how many views you normally get, so it can tell a good post of yours from an ordinary one. It also gives it real samples of how you write.
If your account is private, skip this. Nothing can be read from a private profile.
2. Add a few creators worth watching
Creators, then search by topic or account, then Follow.
Setup has already followed the competitors it found, so check who is there and add the ones you know. The weekly brief needs at least five. Ten or more makes a real difference to what the weekly brief finds, but you do not need them today.
Vamos starts scanning as soon as you add them. It takes a minute or two, then their recent videos and numbers appear in Creators.
3. Ask for something real
Open a chat and give it an actual job rather than a test question. Something like:
"Break down @competitor's best videos from the last 90 days. Tell me which ones beat their own average and what made them work."
Watch what happens above the answer. Vamos will tell you when it is reading a profile, watching a video, or pulling comments, so you can see where the answer came from rather than taking it on trust.
Then ask for the next step in the same chat: turn the strongest of those into a script for me. Staying in the chat is better, because Vamos still has everything it read.
4. Fill in the rest of Brain
While a field on the Profile page in Brain is empty, the page shows Fill in the rest, which has Vamos fill the empty fields from your website and accounts. For what it cannot find, open Ask Vamos and let it ask you, which is faster than typing into boxes.
The part worth doing properly is your voice. Add a few things you have written or posted, and Vamos derives your voice from them. Your voice, on the Voice page, shows what it learned and lists any sections still empty.
Then leave it running
Your weekly brief is already on. It goes live once your own account is added and you follow five creators, then arrives once a week (Monday morning unless you change it) when there is enough new to read. It is free, and it gets better the more you have set up.
