Everything you need to know to send automations and campaigns in multiple languages.

Updated over 3 months ago

1. Access the Template

Open the template you want to translate. Note that the template is still in draft status and has not been submitted yet.

2. Add a Language

  • In the template section, you will see a space for the default French text.

  • If you want to add a language, click on the small "+" button next to the existing language.

  • Select the language you want to add. For example, if you are adding English, choose English.

3. Translate the Text

  • Once the language is added, the French text will be automatically duplicated in the section for the language you just added.

  • Modify this text according to the chosen language.

4. Set the Default Language

  • Once you have added all the necessary languages, you need to set a default language.

  • Click on the language you want to set as the default.

  • Click on "Set default" to make this language the primary one for your contacts.

5. Save the Template

After configuring the default language, click on "Save draft" to save the changes.

6. Repeat for All Templates

Repeat this process for all your templates, adding the necessary languages and setting a default language for each template.

7. Change the Flow Preview Based on Language

Once the languages are added and the templates are saved, you will be able to choose the language in which you want to display the flow, either in French or English, depending on the contact's language.

👀 How does the template adapt to the client's language?

  • If you are connected to Shopify: The system will match the customer's country code in Shopify with the corresponding language.

  • If you are not connected to Shopify or if the country code is missing, the matching will be done based on the phone number prefix. For example, a number starting with +33 (French prefix) will receive the flow in French, while all other numbers will receive the flow in English.

💡 Performance Tracking

  • An important point to note: the performance of multilingual flows is aggregated, meaning that you will see combined statistics for all languages.

  • If you want to track performance by geography or specific location, you will need to duplicate your flows and create distinct triggers for each region or language.
