Add layouts

Start a layout from your current arrangement, a Giraffe preset, My Layouts, a template, or another project.

Written by Holly Conrad Smith

Add a new layout tab in a few clicks.

  1. Click the + at the end of the layout tab strip.

  2. Choose how to start it:

    • New from current layout: duplicates whatever arrangement is live right now into a new tab.

    • Giraffe Presets: Giraffe's built-in layouts, listed right in the menu.

    • My Layouts: layouts you've saved, or that someone shared with you. This group only appears once you have one.

    • From Template…: copy a layout from one of your workspace's project templates. Only in projects.

    • From Project…: copy a layout from another project.

Name, color, and duplicate it

New tabs get a default name and color.

  1. Right-click any tab.

  2. Choose to rename it, give it a color that's easy to spot in the strip, or duplicate it.

The same + menu also has Reset to defaults, which replaces every layout with the starter set.
