Clear out layout tabs you don't use, or put one back the way it started.
Deleting a tab only removes it from this project. To delete a layout you saved to My Layouts, manage it from Home.
Delete a single layout
You always need at least one layout, so Delete is unavailable if it's the only tab left.
Revert a layout to its preset
Undo the changes you made to a layout and put it back the way it started.
Right-click the layout tab in the top bar.
Choose Revert to [preset name].
📷 Screenshot placeholder: The layout tab's right-click menu with Revert to [preset name] highlighted. Replace this block with the image.
The layout's panels, apps, color, and tab style go back to how the preset or layout template set them up.
Revert only appears when the layout has changed and still has the same name as its preset or layout template. A layout you renamed can't be reverted.
To keep your changes and get a fresh copy as well, add the preset again as a new layout. To bring back a layout from your project's template, add it from the template.
Reset everything
The Add Layout (+) menu has a separate Reset to defaults, which replaces every layout in the current project or space with the starter set.
🚨 Warning: This replaces every tab at once. It can't be undone, so use it deliberately.
