Add quick dimensions to your project.
Add Dimensions
Click Annotations Tool in the Drawing Toolbar, and select one of the following:
Measure Length
Measure Area
Annotate Length
Annotate Area
How to Measure
Measurements are temporary spot-checks. They disappear when you click away.
Length
Select Measure Length.
Click to place the first point.
Click again to place a corner.
Double click to end the command.
The length of each line segment is displayed until double click ends the command.
Area
Select measure area.
Click to place the first point.
Click again to place a corner.
Double click to end the command.
The length of each side and the total polygon area is displayed until double click ends the command.
How to Add a Dimension
A dimension is a permanent annotation. It remains on the canvas after the command is completed.
Length
Select Annotate Length.
Click to place the first point.
Click again to place a corner.
Double click to end the command.
Area
Select annotate area.
Click to place the first point.
Click again to place the length.
Click a third time to end the rectangle.
