How do I delete my givestar account?
We're sorry to see you go. If you'd like to permanently delete your givestar account, please read through the information below before proceeding — account deletion cannot be undone.
Before you delete — things to know
🔴 Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, your profile, fundraising history, and donation records cannot be recovered.
💳 Active fundraising pages will be closed. Any live fundraising pages linked to your account will be deactivated. Donors will no longer be able to donate to them. (Please note that fundraising pages that have received donations will be archived and not deleted as givestar needs to keep a record of donations for legal purposes)
💰 Pending donations. If you have any pending payouts or donations in progress, please allow these to complete before deleting your account. Contact our team if you're unsure.
🔔 Subscriptions and direct debits. Cancel any active direct debits or recurring donations before deleting your account. See our Direct Debit cancellation guide.
How to delete your account
On the givestar app
Open the givestar app
Tap your profile picture or initials to open your account menu
Go to Settings > Account
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account
Read the confirmation prompt carefully, then tap Confirm delete
On givestar.io
Log in at givestar.io
Click your profile icon in the top right corner
Go to Settings > Account
Scroll to the bottom and click Delete account
Confirm your decision when prompted
What happens to your data?
When you delete your account, givestar will:
Remove your personal profile and display name from the platform
Delete your login credentials
Retain certain transaction records for legal and financial compliance purposes, as required by UK law

Not ready to delete? Consider these alternatives
Taking a break? You can simply log out and come back whenever you're ready — your account will stay as it is.
Too many emails? Update your notification preferences in Settings instead.
Issue with your account? Contact our support team — we may be able to help resolve whatever's prompted you to leave.
