Using the Glede gift card should be easy, but if you experience any problems, there are fortunately several ways to solve it.
✅ Check this first:
Do you have access to the gift card?
If you can't log in to the Glede app, there is an incorrect phone number linked to the gift. Here you can read how to fix it.
Is the card activated?
Go to the link you received by SMS or email and complete the activation if you have not already done so. The gift card must be activated in the Glede app before it can be used.Is there enough balance on the card?
Check the balance and transactions in the app or via the link you were sent. You cannot buy anything that is more expensive than the amount you have received.Do you use it in a store that accepts Mastercard?
The Glede gift card only works at places that accept Mastercard. For example, some stores may only accept Visa.Are you trying to use it in a physical store?
Make sure the card is loaded into Apple Pay or Google Pay on a smartphone. Reading the QR code or showing the gift card manually at the checkout will not work.Is NFC enabled on your phone?
If you don't get any response when you hold your phone over the payment terminal, NFC is usually not enabled on your device. Go into settings and turn on NFC and it should work.
📍 For online shopping:
Use the card number, expiration date and CVC like a regular bank card.
Make sure the amount you're shopping for doesn't exceed your balance.
🧾 Are you declined at checkout?
Request to split the payment in two if you have multiple gift cards or the amount is higher than the balance.
Some tills may require staff to know how split payments work - ask them to run it as two separate payments with two different cards.
