Introduction

In this article we are going to see how we can translate or customize the name of any text in the system, either in the booking web or in the back office system, completely to our liking. For example, you can change the word "customer" to "player" if you wish.

To change a word you have to follow the following steps:

  1. Select the language to which we want to translate with the selector at the top right side of the screen.

  2. In the search tool (where the magnifying glass is located) we will write the word or phrase we want to translate. We will always look for the word to translate in Spanish. To know how the original text is, go to that page where your word is, switch your Golfmanager to Spanish, and copy that text to paste later at the search tool in the translation page. After this, you can switch your Golfmanager back to your language.

  3. The list will show all the fields that contain that word or phrase. In the first column (Original) will appear the default text of the system (Spanish), and in the right column the chosen language.

  4. Add or modify the text you want to translate in the 2nd column.

  5. And very important, to save the change, click outside the cell. If it has been done correctly you will see a green message "Resource saved successfully".

Now you can go to the page where you had the original text, refresh the page to see the changes, and see if everything has been done correctly.

To translate the language that appears in the web page description, follow these steps.

1. Go to General Settings / Translations

2. In the drop-down select the language to which you want to translate the description.

3. In the search engine type META and in the right column, paste the description previously translated to another language.

4. You can help yourself with an HTML editor (https://html-online.com/editor) to generate the translated content, paste it with the Ctrl+V command in the corresponding cell.

5. Once the translation is filled in, click outside the cell to save the translation. A message will appear confirming that the translation has been saved.

Now you can go to the web page and check the web translation, refresh the page to see the changes, and see if everything has been done correctly.
